Unlike a treatment plant, the Alpha is a passive system. It uses gravity and natural bacteria to settle solids, allowing only the liquid (effluent) to leave the tank. This liquid must then be discharged into a drainage field (soakaway) for further filtration by the soil.

Installing this drain channel is quick and easy.
The system can be used to drain water from a natural catchment area into the soil. It is useful for preventing large puddles from forming on pathways or stopping water from settling on the road and creating a hazard.
Fitting this piece is as simple as pushing it into a drain.
The channel presses against the drain walls, creating a tight hold that keeps it firmly in place. By using anti-shunt grating, this channel is prevented from becoming dislodged by passing feet or wheels.
It's easy to cut this product down from its 1m length to suit your drain size. Over time, the steel grating will maintain its shape and will not corrode.
